The starting point for the ISSA Estate and the restaurant was the investment in revitalizing the region’s vineyards. Today, the restaurant features a selection of the finest wines produced at La Salina Winery, known as the “winery on the salt mountain” and the only winery in Cluj County.
From La Salina Winery, award-winning wines make their way to the tables of wine enthusiasts, having received recognition at some of the most prestigious international competitions. But the most meaningful recognition remains that of those who know how to appreciate a good wine and the craftsmanship behind ISSA wines — born from passion and a refusal to compromise.
The vineyard covers 70 hectares, many of them planted with varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Ottonel, Pinot Noir, Rhine Riesling, Fetească Neagră, Neuburger, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Wine tastings featuring our own wines, paired with local specialties, walks through the vineyards, and visits to Turda Salt Mine make for unforgettable days in the Turda–Durgău area.
Every weekend, the equestrian show created in the heart of Transylvania at ISSA Resort and open to the public brings to the forefront a rare expression of elegance and strength. Liberty dressage with six horses, the energy of the mustang, the grace of the Arabian Thoroughbred, and an exhilarating choreography come together in a performance that goes beyond technique. The equestrian center at the ISSA Estate was born from a passion for horses and riding. Today, ISSA is home to more than 50 ponies and purebred horses, including Friesians, Mustangs, and Pura Raza Española.
At ISSA Resort, just a few minutes from ISSA Garden, you can book riding lessons for all experience levels, horse-drawn carriage rides with Friesian horses, horseback rides through the Durgău Hills, pony rides, and riding memberships.
After a delicious meal, an hour of padel or pickleball might be just what you need. Some of the most beautiful sports courts in Romania, overlooking the hills of Transylvania, await players at ISSA Resort for matches filled with fun and adrenaline. Right next to the padel and pickleball courts, the children’s playground is open so the little ones can have just as much fun.
